SERVICES

All of our firefighters/EMTs are trained to respond to emergency medical incidents. We have one ambulance which is staffed and dispatched from our station. Our department has received ALS (advanced life support) licensure and we staff both paramedics and EMTs and operate under the medical direction of Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Employees on our department receive continual and regular training to ensure excellent care is provided. Additional ALS resources are available to us through our mutual aid partner Lakeview EMS.

Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department is one of five departments in Washington County, Minnesota that comprises the Washington County Fire Department Dive Rescue Team. The other participating departments are Mahtomedi, Scandia, Stillwater and White Bear Lake. Interdepartment trainings are held each month that focus on diving, tending, boat and water/ice rescue operations.

Public education and prevention is an important aspect of the fire service. At Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department, we offer CPR courses to the public as well as fire prevention education geared toward preschool and elementary age youth and community groups such as the Girl Scouts.
